Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill (30 November 1874 – 24 January 1965) was a British statesman who was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. A wartime leader, Churchill was also an officer in the British Army, a historian, a writer (as Winston S. Churchill), and an artist. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature, and was the first person to be made an honorary citizen of the United States. More: en.wikipedia.org.

Undoubtedly a great wartime leader, but not the best politician. There's a reason why he was voted out after the war. The British people saw him as a fighter, but not as a rebuilder. He was unable to convince them that he could be.
