Trump stayed true to his message, but this sounded more like a campaign speech. I expected a bit more of an optimism in this speech. 5/10

I believe Trump delivered a speech appealing mainly to it´s voters and to those who supported him, the aim of his speech I believe is to reassure the american people of his goals as a president and the main policy that he will be applying throughout his presidency which he stated is, "America first". I believe there was some indirect talk against the Obama administration. Specially for the part where he said that he was giving the power back to the people of america in an anti-disestablishment speech.

I think it was really cheap. There were words about building railways, roads, bridges and making America great again which is a typical right-wing manipulation. As if America was a ruin before. America - number one in the world, economically speaking. It is so easy to criticize previous power, focusing on general ideas that are catchy for the poor (closing factories, people losing jobs, we have to build roads, fight with the system and give power back to the people). There was nothing that could cool the negative emotions in US and calm down so many nervous people. Statistics show that he has a lowest approval rate in the history of US, which is since 1953 (45%, in comparison to Obama having more then 68%) Other thing that hits me is that Trump, multimillionaire, corporation owner, pretends that he is one of them - normal people. He pretends to be sad about closing factories because of the poor people losing their jobs. Really?

Why is the media painting the speech as so divisive? I'm not a fan of the man, but there was nothing in his speech that was repellent, perhaps a little bland and nothing more. All I heard during the entire inauguration from the broadcasters at NBC was sarcasm, put-downs, and passive-aggressive commentary. He's our president and hasn't done anything wrong yet, show a little class when covering a story about him eh?
