This is quite the elephant in the room. We have a surge in mental health issues, from domestic violence to depressions and abusive behaviors — yet we will not say that directly. Firearms are a grandstanding issue on all sides.

All the while we talk about guns, more readily-available munitionscryptography — is deployed domestically against US Citizens. We know that surveillance worsens certain mental conditions. Qualified discussion exists on similar impacts to other mentally unless populations, even those with transient illness.

Until bipartisan efforts are fully transparent regarding their mature and responsible handling of this topic, I say that governmental involvement is incorrect and overreaching — the exact model of tyranny that we founded ourselves against.
