Due to the restricting effect of MAD, we can be assured that although there are some very tense situations, it is improbable that this conflict will escalate. Due to the high-technology we have these days, the death toll and destruction would be incredible, with most likely NATO on one side and Russia/China on the other. I believe that although the two world powers most likely to engage in a conflict, that is, the US and Russia, would love to go to war, such a war would be likely to destroy the world as we know it, and no world leader would be willing to risk such a legacy.

There are no Russia-Ukraine war. It's Ukrainian civil war with many other countries involved in.

I don't think it Will happen, but it is possible. While we still have small wars going on the nukes dropped on Japan may have put an end to World Wars. If there were no nuclear weapons we may be gearing up for WWIII right now.
