No, but if the draft is ever reinstated, Congress and the President must not be allowed to pull strings to protect their own children/friends/relatives from being sent to war. If you're a politician who votes to go to war, your kids have to go just like everyone else's.

Government office should have a variety of perspectives. Those who have gone into a professional military by their very nature are going to have a specific way of looking at the world.
Military service is valuable and I'd like to see more vets become politicians. But we need to have more lifelong laborers of all kinds.
