Is it ever justified to hit a female for verbal abuse? (from a male perspective)

Personally I'm a firm believer in equal rights, if you're dumb enough to hit me, man or woman, I will hit you back. I'm not fine with female on male physical violence and I'm not fine with male on female violence, but should you decide to to become violent, I'm more than capable of ending it.

It's really a simple rule, don't hit me I won't hit you.
