This will not end well for anyone. Taking human nature into account, it's hard to imagine a good outcome. Europe is just a bloody disaster waiting to happen. You cannot bring two incompatible cultures together and expect anything other than conflict until one side has beaten the other side into total submission.

Consider the idea that this kind of pessimistic thinking might be the very part of human nature that obstructs (the imaginings of) a good outcome.

I would have to answer this question with "no".

:)

I think that by resigning to our natural state, we wouldn't question war (caused by imminent threat), exploitation (caused by scarcity), prejudice (which is a mental shortcut), etc.
