The sentence for falsifying a crime report should be considered the same as the crime and should be punished using the exact same guidelines as the crime would be punished under.
If a convicted rapist could get twenty years, no parole, and a half million dollar fine, restitution... , then the person who falsifies a rape report should be eligible for the exact same punishment.
