The first amendment protects the freedom of religion, so I think it's not only stupid but also unconstitutional.

Most criminals are black does that mean we should ban blacks?
The answer is obviously no which is why I think it's also hypocritical.

I'm not a constitutional expert, but I don't believe it would be unconstitutional. Trump's idea is directed towards people who are not U.S. residents. They are not affected by the constitution.

Of course, to me, if Trump's proposition does come to reality, it would violate moral laws, if not international ones.

Then again, Trump is addressing a topic that has long been a subject of taboo. People like that. There's an obvious compatibility issue between islam and western countries.

Nothing in the Constitution says that Congress can restrict the freedom of religion for outsiders. The First Amendment restricts Congress from stopping the free practice of a faith or establishing a religion. Both would seem to be clearly violated here.

Most criminals are not black. Blacks and Hispanics are disproportionately LIKELY to be black, owing entirely to a few key factors: urbanicity, poverty, and education. But the majority of criminals will still be white in the United States.
