The Terminator as a movie

Terminator is a movie I've actually warmed up to a lot over the years. Terminator 2 is one of my favorite films and I always felt that the first was overshadowed. But there's a ton of great aspects to the first film. Michael Biehn's performance is stellar: He really communicates a haunted man. Arnold has a lot of subtleties that make him work extremely well for the role. Kyle and Sarah have real chemistry, and their love scene is actually beautiful. And the pacing of the movie is just perfect. I remembered the time they spent in the parking lot hiding from the cops as being much longer than it was because the movie keeps you constantly worried about them.
