Obviously, no species can live forever. Saying otherwise is absurd.
"The human race" refers to the species Homo sapiens that will NOT be able to NOT evolve for more than 10-100 million years.
After this point, maybe humans will still be exploring the Universe, or be settled for a while. But this people will not be part of the human race as we know it.
