Democratic Party as a political party

IF and it's a big IF the democratic party stayed true to it's party line a weak federal government, states' rights, and strict adherence to the Constitution, I would have given them high marks. (Yes that was what the party was founded on) but they have long since given that up for bigger government, ignore the Constitution, ignore state's rights.
