No, the 'league' moniker is a tax loophole so that this business can avoid taxes. Perhaps if the teams had to pay taxes then players would make salaries that are more down to earth. Multimillion dollar contracts would not be given out regularly if the teams were not profitable, so why should we let them get away with not paying taxes ?

I have a problem with the extortion of if the city does not pay for a new stadium the team will leave. If they want that option then they are a for profit company.
