Carson, like so many of the Republican candidates for 2016, is a sign of the completely debased electoral system and political culture that we have now.
I do not merely say this as a result of my personal values or disagreements with him. I say this because the man is gonzo. Just the fact that he is willing to continue to insist, in public, that the pyramids were used for something that they emphatically were not (and that no expert will support him on) should disqualify him for any reasonable person.
I understand that many people want a political outsider. That is a fine instinct. But when you don't like the mechanics at your local shop, you don't hire the homeless man screaming at the pigeons to look at your car. Even non-politicians should prove that they have actual political acumen if they want the job. Carson is just not qualified.
