Halo 5: Guardians is a first-person shooter video game developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One home video game console. Part of the Halo franchise, the game was released on October 27, 2015. Halo 5‍ '​s plot follows the cybernetically enhanced human supersoldier Master Chief in his attempt to rescue Cortana, an artificial intelligence construct and his closest companion, after he receives reports suggesting she may be alive.
