Until the big record labels stop producing the SAME record over and over it'll stay the same. Despite what people say they big labels still have a lot of power, and they aren't really interested in music, they are only interested in making a buck. Same with any type of music, movie, tv show. If a singer doesn't fit the image, doesn't have the "right" sound, ie it's different than everyone else, or happen to be too "old". They have a LOT of trouble trying to get the labels to even listen to them. Sad but true, put out the same sound as everyone else or go away. That is the state of all the music today.
