In my opinion, not seeing the negative votes on comments is making other people, read unneccesary thing, the power of voting should be neutral and thus equal to everyone, you write something stupid and you get downvotes for it? so be it, show it you darn youtube.
In late 2013 YouTube made a significant change to their comment system. It included merging the site with Google+. What do you think about YouTube's new (current) comment system?
My opinion is that should put a filter option for the owners of the channels they want to put that words do not come out in the comments and also to put alphabetic letters and numbers, no other signs.
There is a huge discrimation in comments. One thing is expressing one's opinion and the other is insulting people. Besides, youtube does not take measures for any abuse report. That soils its reputation.
The YouTube comments system is utterly appalling. Not enough positive. And far too many trolls, racism, homophobia and bullying. Truly disgusting! It's about time it was scrapped!
I wish someone would explain why they think it's (very) bad. [I think] It's better than it was before, because at least people can respond to eachother now. The discussions are much more structured and people can reward eachother for their comments. Disapprovals aren't shown (a choice which in some cases I regret, but in the majority of cases proves to be the right choice as downvoting usually is a subjective practice). Yes, there is discrimination online, but you can hardly blame this comment system for that.
Well, I do like the old comment system but, the new one has less bugs so I'm not very sure.
It is absolutely disgraceful.
Using the social networks are only getting harder and harder. It's a pity.
I believe that having comments on YouTube indicate the viewers point of view and give attention or ratings towards a video that that person might like or not. If people think there is negativity towards a video let them say what they want everyone has their opinion and by expressing it on site can make a difference in people's view. Not everyone is perfect and like every video. Even the person posting the video should know that not everyone is going to click the like button and by getting feedback can show that others really watch their videos and express there opinion about the videos.
There are some people who come on You Tube and bad mouthing and name calling...
