Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (soundtrack) as a film soundtrack - discussion
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is the soundtrack for the Disney film of the same title. The score was composed by Hans Zimmer in 2006.
The soundtrack is much more experimental than the soundtrack to the first film, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (soundtrack), utilizing pipe organs, musical box and electronic beats. Although the soundtrack seems to also utilize electric guitars, Zimmer protests that no guitars were used in the score:
Actually, it's not an electric guitar. You know what it is? It's the orchestra put through a guitar amp and piped back into the room. As soon as they finished playing, we plugged them into a guitar amp! - Hans Zimmer at SoundtrackNet More: en.wikipedia.org.
