Looking at current representatives, would you say that women do this job equally good as men? This topic is not about men and women generally, it's only about people who are politicians.

Angela Merkel did not make a mistake. Even if she did, that is not comparable to the mistakes that male politicians have historically made. (I'm not saying female politicians are better, just that male politicians have set a laughably low bar).

For the most part yes. Then again we have women like Hillary Clinton and Sheila Jackson Lee and one wonders.

Is there a real difference between Thatcher and Reagan? Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton? I can't see one. Generally speaking, female politicians are fairly similar to male politicians.

Ideally, we'd have a much wider variety of people in general serving in politics, leading to a better spread of opinions and perspectives. In that situation, without misogynist biases in the background, I suspect we'd see that female politicians are slightly more likely to be collaborative and male politicians are slightly more likely to be competitive. Both approaches are good and need to be in any room.
