Saying a boycott of Trump's inauguration is a disrespect to the sanctity of peaceful transition power is like saying that boycotting Chick-Fil-A because you don't agree with their religious beliefs is a rebuke of capitalism. A boycott of the inauguration is a clear and obvious communication of disrespect of the man, not of the process.

How could a boycott, which is a form of peaceful organized protest, ever be interpreted as an attack on the peaceful transition of power? Rather the other way around - media pundits and Trump staffers questioning the right to boycott disrespects the process.

No. Crashing the Inauguration and committing violent acts is a disrespect to the sanctity of peaceful transition of power. Boycotting is just a peaceful way of protesting the man elected, not the process of peaceful transition.
