Is it better to watch The Martian in 2D or 3D?

3D is usually the choice for me, unless others have told me it is distracting. However, 3D can be cause headaches, vertigo, and nausea for some people, especially those with neurological or vision issues. I attended The Martian with such a person, and for that reason saw the 2D, and found the plot, acting, and visuals excellent.

I watched it in both 2D and 3D, and I ejnoyed 2D better. I always felt that if a movie has a good storyline, it's better to watch it in 2D. It lets you feel the movie deeper (which is a paradox in this case). The Martian does have a good plot and watching in 2D feels somewhat more intellectual.
