At least should be questioned or suspended. However, I suppose that FIFA and Russia use the same policy, to some extent. Hence, much depends on countries, as it was in 1980's Olympic Games.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place in 2018 in Russia. Because of the 2014-15 Russian military intervention in Ukraine, should FIFA strip Russia from the right to host the World Cup?
Hold on. Be stripped by whom and on what basis? Is FIFA a branch of the UN now?
Not minimizing the violence, the actions of Russia in Crimea and Eastern Ukraine are an effort by Russia to protect its vital interests and extend its influence in a key area near its border. The other P5 nations are dealing with Russia through sanctions and negotiation. If the US was scheduled to hold such an event after the 2003 invasion of Iraq, would US citizens appreciate it if Russia suggested stripping that event? In my opinion, the US or any nation must be careful about moralizing through such means except in blatant cases of genocide or the most egregious violations of international law.
Why should they not be able to host the World Cup? Just because of military intervention? Then USA should have never hosted it, and should never host it because of its countless interventions ALL OVER the world, especially in Latin America and the Middle East.
He's right you know. ^^
What good will it do?
For what? Because of the fact that a group of idiots began fighting with English fans in France .. Enough to link sport with politics. Do not blame the whole country

Anyway, many countries have carried out once the military policy .. In my opinion, this factor should not affect to Russia's rights of hosting the World Cup
